the hypocrite

" There are 3 signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks, he speaks lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it, and when he is trusted, he betrays it. " ... Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him )

I’m a hypocrite by that definition! Will I be condemned into eternal grievous suffering..?

4:145 Verily, the hypocrites shall be in the lowest depth of the fire, and thou wilt find none who could succour them.

Should I vow not to lies to customers (internal/external), wow to keep promises & deliver the trusted tasks? Or just let it be “business as usual” and suffer the consequences. God forgive me for I’m weak…

I like what the first anonymous post said....

So what do you do when you own company / management forces you to be hypocrite?

The Quranic position is very clear on this but as anakin says we can never be perfect....

maybe that is why Allah SWT is all merciful, all forgiving...

Do agree with all the comments. It’s very stressful when you have to confront the customers especially the external customers. Lost of pride and feel so bad when they gave bad comments on you. (On behalf of the company).
What should I do? Do I have to tell the truth and it will be direct impact to the organization. Its happen almost to all the customers. We have to give all sort of accuses and it not suppose to be. We broke all the promises, lied to them etc.
Like what aok said, we have to move forward and hopefully 2009 is the magic number.
Forgive me GOD..

Mindacergas, you are too provoking & sound more like a consultant than one of us!

Anonymous said...

Yes....minda cergas is a consultant and not one of us...just to let you know.

Nothing personal mindacergas, I’ve some reservation about consultant. I’m a strong believer in introvert point of view and a strong & committed leader is a prerequisite for change. But I also acknowledge that we need to look at a mirror to see our own eyes.

Shouldn’t have attacked you in a silly manner, so hooked-up with the mind game that I forget the very basic principal – to “know” my opponent!
I envy you guys in the transformation team! (Tapi macam tak tertransformed pun)don't let alsaid alone be the main spokeman.

Transformation is not about a group of people who has the opportunity and the privileged attending the transformation program. Transformation comes within an individual to do something different for the better. I am not a spokesman for anyone, I speak from the heart.

If we can recognize that change and uncertainty are basic principles, we can greet the future and the transformation we are undergoing with the understanding that we do not know enough to be pessimistic.

No I am not a consultant and I don't mind the distrust and apprehension that people may have about consultants.

I am in this forum with Kamil's full knowledge and I do apologise for not making that clear early on.

I for one never trust consultants. To know why please visit http://mindspring.wordpress.com/c1-chapters-of-the-book/if-consultants-were-so-smart-how-come-they-dont-run-businesses/

Call me what you want, but what I do is to call "a spade a spade."

I am also the person who says 99% of all business problems can be solved if we fix the top. (Which is why so many CEO's stay out of my way)

My role is to be provocative and to challenge peoples thoughts and paradigms. My role is to stir and provoke peoples thinking and emotions becasue that is what brings about change.

But I do it on a proven methodology, that is to change you need to win the hearts before the minds.

Whether the change is transformasi or reformasi, depends on how well the leaders lead.

I will now respectfully stay out of your forum and will contribute if requested. I can be reached at feedback@mindspringgroup.com

Mindacergas, dont go.Please stay, your comment are useful to us or at least for me.I'm with you with your provocative ways to make people to start opening up their minds.I think some of the people here are to comfortable with their own old ways of doing things or they just dont like an outsider advicing us how to do things.WAKE UP PEOPLE,IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE,FIRST OF ALL TRY TO BE OPEN AND LETS MAKE THIS COMPANY A BETTER PLACE TO WORK.EVEN IF THE COMMENTS IS NOT TOWARDS YOUR ADVANTAGE.THINK LONG TERM.

Mindacergas….How could a comment, shoo……you away from this blog, I second Wild Thing, we need great minds like yours, mine, wild thing…and others to share experiences and ideas, to have a better life.

I agree with alsaid and wild thing. Nobody could chase anybody out of this forum. Afterall, this forum was started with the good intention and it is not a place for somebody to condemn any individual or a group. We are here to share what we know and learn from others. We have to learn everyday until we die...

For the subject of hypocrite, it is clearly in the hadis who is considered hypocrite and the punishment is clearly stated in the Al-Quran. So, there shouln't be anymore excuses to say why we have to be one.

1. In the eagerness for change we may have forgotten our strengths and good values. I don’t believe a company with significant contribution to the national defense is full of hypocrites. People strive to push aircraft for disasters relieve efforts in Johor, Pahang, Yogjakarta and for God grace we even sent technicians to Aceh to repair the MGB mounting strap during Tsunami. It takes a warrior to be on board of FCF, not cowards & hypocrites. The efforts involved every single one of us – all contribution (no matter how small) is essential. Take pride in what we are doing and improve. It is a very noble & MULIA business that we are in.

2. Don’t have to succumb to provocations or blindly accept the avocations of “Gospel Truth” on the pretext of change and transformation. Argue among us in search for better solutions, we may have agree to disagree at the end but keep focus (after that to Kg. Ku if you’re up for it – just orange juice for me TQ). Personally, I see it as Fardu Kifayah us being here. I feel privilege to be here and humble by the trust & AMANAH that I shouldered. This is a great company! Are we perfect? - NO. Do we need to change? - By all means!

3. Couldn’t say that I agree with every thing you guys have said but the last statement was spot-on! We shouldn’t be hypocrite and there is actually no one can force you to become one. I like the net’s literature on mindacergas, respect him for his stands and his views as a professional, as a Malaysian and as a responsible citizen of the world. I need to attend one of his classes before can brand him a “great mind”.

Thank You dare 2b different,
We did went out of our way to get a/craft servicable for the flood relief,we did ground certain a/craft to make other a/craft in aceh flyable,we did not go anywhere(STAYED IN D HOUSE) in case there was an urgency of spares/components that was required during the flooding and the tsunami and I'm proud to say that we did sacrifice our life for the company and nation when ever we go for FCF.
